28 Jul Letter from the Regional Couple, July 2025.
Dear Friends,
As you know, we are due to complete our 4 year term as Responsible Couple for the Region in October 2025.
By God’s wonderful grace, the Teams in Ireland have been blessed by the generous “Yes” of Mark and Anne O’Leary D38, who have answered the call and will succeed us, commencing their term of service as Responsible Couple for the Region, in October 2025.
Furthermore, Paul and Annette O’Beirne are due to complete their 5 year term of service as Responsible Couple for the Transatlantic Super-Region (SR)(which includes Ireland) in January 2026.
TJ and Ellen Holt, the Responsible Couple for the Trans-Oceanic Zone (which includes the Transatlantic SR), had the task of finding successors to Paul and Annette.
We received an invitation to allow our names to go forward for consideration. Following many months of prayer & discernment, we finally but joyfully gave our “Yes”, just in time to attend the meeting of the International College in Lyon this past week! Here, our “Yes” was welcomed and we are humbled to follow in Paul and Annette’s footsteps. We will assume the role of Transatlantic SR couple from January 2026. We ask your continued prayer for Mark and Anne and for ourselves, as we each answer the Lord’s call to serve the Movement in the coming years. We also rejoice in all of you who serve alongside us.
We are encouraged to know that “In Teams every responsibility is a service. God calls us not because of our merits, but because He looked at us and called us by our name, personally and as a couple. The call of the Lord is, above all, on His own initiative, not ours. We respond to His loving gaze on us as a couple, totally relying on Him.”

We entrust all in the Movement to the intercession of Our Blessed Mother, our model in offering her “Yes” to God.
